the factor to consider when choosing the best school for your child..have you think about this??

today is the second day at school for school children all over Malaysia. every kids must be very excited with new uniform and new stationeries..Barbie theme??Ben 10 theme??Smurfs theme??you just name it, you'll find it!!hihi..

well, obviously the parents are excited too!!especially for those with kids first time entering kindergarten or primary school.mummy (ehem!) had been busy searching, studying, googling the best school in town which meets their listed never-ending criteria just to make sure your children get the best..am i right??don't deny this.because i've did that even Rafique still have 5 years before entering formal kindy.blame the motherly-feeling inside me.

today, i'm gonna share with mommies one of the criteria that we should look at when finding the best school for our children which is S.A.F.E.T.Y!!

Here's the list that you should ask yourself (at least) when considering the safety factors at school..

1. Is student safety a priority for your school and your community?
2. Do parents have access to reports that include information about the number of violent or other unsafe incidents at the school?
3. Does your school have procedures for responding quickly to unsafe situations?Is your the school have a traffic controller in charge?
4. Is the school have a drop off zone?
5. is the bicycle parking area located nearby the vehicles drop-off zone?
6. Are counselors and psychologists available to work with students who are troubled or disruptive?
7. Are school facilities attractive and hazard-free?
8. Is safety addressed in all aspects of the school program-the cafeteria, physical education, classrooms, playgrounds, after-school programs, etc.

i don't know if somebody think that i've gone too much of listing these here, its just my two cents..but i bet no parents is willing to put their children in the situation which might be dangerous. if we can be fussy in choosing the suitable syllabus for the children, the physical attractiveness that so-called can stimulate our children's development, then why don't we be fussy on safety issues as well??

AT LEAST, the school management and PARENTS should have been aware about all possible dangers inside or nearby the school compound. and do something about it..hopefully..

Kids are not small adults. they can't take good care of themselves. adults have to!!

safety at work

semalam i citer pasal kereta idaman sebab cik Vivi I masuk lubang masa nak masuk parking kat ofis..sebab masih neves nak cerita pasal cik Vivi yang dah masuk lubang, kita tukar perhatian ke arah lebih positif dulu.

cenggini ceritanya..i masuk keje lewat semalam sebab pergi amek gambar passport yang diperlukan untuk submit IELTS's registration form. dan masalah parking di kalangan masyarakat opis i sememang nya amat sangat lah meruncing. sape datang lewat, merasa lah tawaf bangunan 4-5 kali untuk cari parking, pastu selitlah mana2 yang dirasakan wajar..

jadi, bila tiba2 round pertama i dah nampak 1 "parking lot" kosong, laju2 terus masuk parking tu..sekaliiiiiiiiiiii....kedepek masuk lubang..huwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! nanges.tayar depan sebelah kiri masuk lubang.alaa..lubang tu lubang longkang sebenarnya, yang empat segi tu..tapi tutup dia mana tah pergi..grrrr!!! dah la parking tu kat belakang bangunan, cemana niiiiiii???sambil air mata dah bercucuran, tepon hubby.mengadu.

belum pun hubby angkat tepon, ada pakcik jual nasi lemak kat opis kitorang datang tolak..dia rileks je, siap senyum lagi. dia kata dah banyak kete jatuh lubang. dorang kat situ (pakcik2 peniaga) dah biasa tolong2 angkat kereta jatuh lubang ni..and to my surprise, banyak rupanya lubang2 sebegitu rupa kat situ. i tak tahu sebab jarang datang lewat sampai kena parking kat belakang ceruk tu..

seb baik cik Vivi ku yang dah sedia berjerawat batu sana sini tu takde rosak ape..lega...

yang buat i marah tu, tak kan lah dah banyak kes berlaku, none of them bother to lodge report to facilities ke hape..tak kan nak tunggu kete CEO jatuh dalam lubang tu dulu baru korang nak cari something utk tutup lubang2 tu?? in which tak mungkin lah kete CEO nak lalu lorong belakang tu utk cari parking, pasal dia dah ada parking lot dia depan lobby. kalau i jadi dia pun i tak kuasa nak gi pusing2 kat lorong belakang tu.

xpe lah kalau korang tak nak repot, i dah tolong report as soon as naik opis semalam. jawapan dari orang facilitiese tu pulak "that's not our territory actually. but we'll see what we can do" and i replied to him "u cannot just see, u MUST do something!!!" tak boleh tak, employer mesti bertanggungjawab. kalau tak buat sendiri, hire contractor or report to whatever channel to DO something on this. sebab tempat tu takde orang lain lalu kecuali staff company ini dan jugak our students..ini baru kereta masuk lubang tu, kalau orang jatuh dalam lubang tu, ape cerita?????

tengok lah dalam seminggu ni. harap ada lah dorang cari grating untuk tutup lubang tu.kalau xde gak, i complain lagi. jangan sampai i complain direct to DOSH sudah.

ofis korang ada tak issue2 yang boleh membahayakan keselamatan macam ni???
